The Toyota Material Handling plant located in Bologna, Italy, develops and manufactures a wide range of electric counterbalance trucks from 1t to 8,5 t capacity and IC counterbalance trucks from 1,5t to 8 t capacity.
The manufacturing site occupies 26,000 m2 and employs 400 people. The main production processes are assembly, welding and painting.

The supply unit of Bologna completes its structure with a plant located next to Ferrara, Italy: the plant started its production activities back in 1975 as a qualified company developing and supplying a complete range of masts for forklift trucks with capacities from 1.0 to 10.0 tons. Its R&D department is able to meet customers' requests and guarantee top-quality products.
For both plants, the production is based on Toyota Production System (TPS) principles.
The forklift truck plant is certified to ISO9001 Vision 2000, ISO14001 and BS OHSAS 18001 while the masts plant in Ferrara is certified to ISO9001 and ISO14001.
